Joint Tape is a material with glass fiber as the base material, which has good corrosion resistance and softness. Joint Tape is used for building wall insulation and waterproofing has two functions.
How to operate Joint Tape during construction:
1. Prepare the polymer mortar. If there is separation, you need to re-mix with a mixer to ensure the quality of the mixer!
2. After weighing the amount of cement and sand in the bucket, pour it into the iron ash tank for mixing. After evenly mixing, add the binder according to the mixing ratio and stir. The mixing must be uniform to avoid segregation and appear porridge. Water can be added appropriately according to the joint tape and workability.
3. The water is used for concrete.
4. The polymer mortar should be prepared as soon as it is used. The prepared polymer mortar should be used up within 1 hour. The polymer mortar should be placed in a cool place and avoid sun exposure.
5. Cut the mesh from the entire roll of glass fiber Joint Tape according to the length and width required in advance, leaving the necessary lap length or the length of the overlapped part.
6. Cut in a clean and flat place. The cutting must be accurate. The cut Joint Tape must be rolled up, no folding or stepping is allowed.
7. Make a reinforcement layer at the outside corner of the building. The reinforcement layer should be pasted on the innermost side, 150mm on each side.
8. When applying the polymer mortar for the first time, keep the surface of the EPS board dry to remove harmful substances or impurities from the board cotton.
9. Scrape a layer of polymer mortar on the surface of the polystyrene board. The scraped area should be slightly larger than the length or width of the Joint Tape, and the thickness should be approximately 2mm. Polymer mortar is not allowed to be coated on the surface of the polystyrene board. Polystyrene board side.
10. After scraping the polymer mortar, place the Joint Tape on it, with the curved surface of the Joint Tape facing the wall, and apply it smoothly from the center to the surroundings, so that the Joint Tape is embedded in the polymer mortar, and the Joint Tape should not be wrinkled. After the surface is dry, apply a layer of polymer mortar with a thickness of 1.0mm, and the Joint Tape should not be exposed.
11. The lap length around the Joint Tape shall not be less than 70mm. In the cut part, the mesh lap should be used, and the overlap length shall not be less than 70mm.
12. A reinforcement layer should be made around the door and window, and the reinforcement layer Joint Tape should be pasted on the innermost side. If the distance between the outer skin of the door and window frame and the base wall surface is greater than 50mm, the Joint Tape should be pasted with the base wall. If it is less than 50mm, it needs to be turned over. The Joint Tape laid on the large wall should be embedded in the outside of the door and window frame and glued firmly.
13. At the four corners of the door and window, after the standard mesh is wiped, add a 200mm×300mm standard mesh on the four corners of the door window, place it at a 90-degree angle to the bisector of the window corner, and paste it on the outermost side for reinforcement; Cover the inner corner with a 200mm long mesh with a width suitable for the standard window width, and stick it on the outermost side.
14. Below the first floor of the window sill, in order to prevent damage caused by impact, the reinforced joint tape should be installed first, and then the standard joint tape. Strengthen Joint Tape to cope with connection.
15. The construction method of placing the reinforcement layer is the same as that of the standard Joint Tape.
16. The Joint Tape pasted on the wall should be covered on the overwrapped Joint Tape.
17. The joint tape is applied from top to bottom, and the reinforced joint tape is applied first, and then the standard joint tape is applied in the synchronous construction.
18. After the Joint Tape is glued, it should be prevented from being washed or hit by rain, and the external corners that are prone to collision should be protected. The door and window should be protected against pollution. The surface damage or pollution must be dealt with immediately.
19. The joint tape shall not be exposed to rain within 4 hours after the construction of the protective layer.
20. After the protective layer is finally set, spray water to maintain the Joint Tape in time. When the day and night average temperature is higher than 15℃, it shall not be less than 48 hours, and when it is lower than 15℃, it shall not be less than 72 hours
